Aim of the course
To enable the postgraduate student to:
45- Recognize the iatrogenic effects in orthodontics
46- Classify iatrogenic damage.
47- Describe the enamel damage and what is the evidence telling us ?
48- Determine the root resorption and pulpal damage.
49- To determine the periodontal damage.
50- To determine the allergic reaction.
51- To determine the intraoral and extraoral traumatic damage.
52- To determine the systemic damage.
53- To manage iatrogenic damage
54- To interrelate orthodontic treatment and iatrogenic damage.
Course Contents
• Introduction
• Classification of the iatrogenic damage
• Enamel demineralization/ Caries.
• Enamel Trauma.
• Enamel wear.
• Root resorption.
• Pulpal reaction.
• Periodontal disease.
• Intraoral allergy and trauma.
• Extraoral damage (Allergy and Trauma).
• Tempromandibular damage.
• Systemic iatrogenic damage. .
