Tera E. Dahl is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Council on Global Security. Previously, Tera was Congressional Fellow with the Westminster Institute in McLean, Virginia, where her duties included briefing members of Congress and their staffers on the global terrorist threat, with a specific focus on Egypt and the broader Middle East. She also led three delegations to meet with senior leaders in Egypt. Tera worked for Representative Michele Bachmann as her congressional staff member specializing on national security and foreign policy. During the 2012 Presidential election, she was a personal assistant to Rep. Michele Bachmann in her campaign as Republican presidential candidate. Tera has spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan with the American Red Cross where she volunteered at the Bagram Field Hospital ran by the Egyptian Military. She returned to Afghanistan after her deployment with the Red Cross and embedded with the U.S. Marines in Helmand Province. Since July, she has traveled to Cairo, Egypt numerous times focusing on American Egyptian relations, facilitating informal bilateral relations at the highest level of government, and uncovering the truth of the threat posed to the region by the Muslim Brotherhood
