The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Future University in Egypt offers distinguished Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs designed to develop highly qualified dental specialists, academic leaders, and researchers capable of contributing to the advancement of oral healthcare and dental sciences.

Our PhD programs are developed in response to the rapid advances in dental science and technology and are designed to meet the evolving needs of the local, regional, and international healthcare sectors. The programs provide advanced scientific knowledge, specialized clinical training, and research opportunities that prepare graduates for careers in academia, research, and specialized clinical practice.

Each PhD program follows the internationally recognized credit-hour system and includes a structured curriculum of compulsory courses that comply with the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) and the requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The curricula are benchmarked against international standards to ensure graduates acquire the highest level of academic knowledge, clinical competence, and professional skills.

To earn the PhD degree, candidates must successfully complete all required coursework, fulfill the prescribed clinical and practical training requirements, and demonstrate the competencies specified for their specialty.

A major component of every PhD program is the completion of an original research dissertation that makes a significant scientific contribution to the field of dentistry. The research is conducted under the supervision of qualified faculty members and is aligned with the research priorities of the department, the faculty, and Future University in Egypt. Upon completion, the dissertation is publicly defended via an appointed examination committee in accordance with the University's postgraduate regulations and the applicable ministerial requirements.

Applicants holding a Master degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) are eligible to apply, provided they satisfy the admission requirements specified in the faculty’s postgraduate regulations and the applicable provisions of the Egyptian Universities Organization Law and its executive ministerial regulations.
